Diclac (Diclofenac) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic drug used to reduce pain and inflammation. Diclac is intended for the symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation in conditions such as:
- Acute arthritis (inflammation of joints),
- Chronic arthritis,
- Rheumatoid arthritis (chronic polyarthritis),
- Ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew’s disease) and other inflammatory rheumatic diseases of the spine,
- Osteoarthritis and spondylarthrosis of affected joints,
- Inflammatory rheumatic diseases of soft tissues,
- Pain, swelling, and inflammation resulting from trauma, surgical procedures, or postoperative reactions.
Diclac contains diclofenac and is available in various forms:
- Diclac 150 mg tablet (modified-release)

- Diclac Gel (for external use)
Dosing of Diclac 150 mg modified-release tablet
Adults typically take 1 tablet of modified-release Diclac (containing 150 mg sodium diclofenac) once daily. Do not exceed the maximum recommended dose.
Dosing of Diclac 75 mg modified-release tablet
Adults typically take 1 tablet of modified-release Diclac (containing 75 mg sodium diclofenac). In some cases, 2 tablets (total 150 mg sodium diclofenac) may be prescribed.
Dosing of Diclac 5% gel
Apply the gel to the skin 3–4 times daily and gently rub in.
How to take Diclac tablets (Diclac 75 mg, Diclac 150 mg)?
- Diclac tablets are intended for oral use.
- Modified-release tablets should be swallowed whole, not crushed or chewed, usually once daily.
- The medication is not intended for children and adolescents under 18 years old.

- Post-traumatic inflammation of tendons, muscles, and joints (e.g., sprains, dislocations, bruises)
- Localized soft tissue inflammatory conditions
- Localized degenerative rheumatic joint disorders (e.g., peripheral joint and spine osteoarthritis)
How to use Diclac gel?
- Apply the gel 3–4 times a day and gently rub in.
- The amount depends on the size of the affected area. For 400–800 cm², 2–4 g of gel (size of a cherry to a walnut) is sufficient.
- Leave at least 4 hours between applications. Do not use more than 4 times per day.
- Duration depends on the condition and effect. Treatment should be reassessed after 2 weeks. Longer treatment is prescribed by a doctor.
- If pain or swelling does not improve after 14 days, or worsens, consult a doctor.
Precautions before using Diclac gel
- If you forget an application, apply it as soon as you remember, then continue as usual. Do not double the dose to compensate.
- Do not use Diclac gel if you are allergic to diclofenac or any components of the gel.
- Do not use during the last trimester of pregnancy.
- Do not use in individuals under 18 years old.
