Broncho-Munal® is a medicine used for the prevention of recurrent infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract in adults and children aged 6 months and older.

Broncho-Munal® stimulates the body’s natural defense mechanisms against respiratory infections, reducing the frequency, duration, and severity of infections, as well as the need for antibiotic use.

Broncho-Munal® contains a lyophilized bacterial lysate.

Broncho-Munal P 3.5 mg®

Used in children aged 6 months to 12 years
1 capsule daily, in the morning, on an empty stomach

For the prevention of respiratory tract infections, Broncho-Munal P is taken as 1 capsule daily in 10-day courses for 3 consecutive months. If possible, treatment should begin on the same day each month, with a 20-day interval between courses.

For young children who cannot swallow capsules (e.g., under 5 years old), it is recommended to open the capsule and mix its contents with a small amount of liquid (tea, milk, or juice). The solution should be consumed completely within a few minutes after preparation and stirred before use.

Broncho-Munal 7 mg®

Adults and children over 12 years

For the prevention of respiratory tract infections, take 1 capsule daily in 10-day courses for 3 consecutive months. If possible, start on the same day each month, with a 20-day interval between courses.

How to use Broncho-Munal®?

For prevention, take 1 capsule daily in 10-day courses for 3 consecutive months, maintaining a 20-day interval between courses.

For young children who cannot swallow capsules, Broncho-Munal P (3.5 mg) capsules may be opened and mixed with a small amount of liquid (tea, milk, or juice). The mixture should be consumed within a few minutes and stirred before use.

Dosage of Broncho-Munal®

For prevention of respiratory infections:

• Adults: Broncho-Munal 7 mg – 1 capsule daily in 10-day courses for 3 consecutive months
• Children (6 months–12 years): Broncho-Munal P 3.5 mg – 1 capsule daily in 10-day courses for 3 consecutive months

For children unable to swallow capsules, open and mix contents with liquid as described above.

Broncho-Munal is not recommended for children under 6 months.

How does Broncho-Munal® work?

Broncho-Munal contains lyophilized bacteria and stimulates the body’s natural immune defenses against respiratory infections. This helps reduce the frequency, duration, and severity of infections, as well as the use of antibiotics.

If you forget to take a dose

If you miss a dose, take the next dose the following morning.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Storage conditions

Shelf life: 5 years. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store below 25°C, in a dry place.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy:
Data on use in pregnant women are limited. Animal studies have not shown direct or indirect harmful effects related to reproductive toxicity. As a precaution, use during pregnancy is not recommended.

Breastfeeding:
No specific studies have been conducted. Due to lack of data, use during breastfeeding is not recommended as a precaution.

Can children use Broncho-Munal®?

Yes. Broncho-Munal P (3.5 mg) can be used in children from 6 months of age.

For young children who cannot swallow capsules, open and mix contents with a small amount of liquid.

Use in children under 6 months is not recommended due to the immaturity of the immune system and limited clinical data.
